Description
Yota Moteuchi has been nicknamed Datless for a very long time for the childish inexperienced manner of his long time crush on his best friend. In despair about her telling him that she was in love with someone else he appears before 'paradise' movie rental and rents a DVD of an idol named Ai Amano, what he doesn't know is that Ai is a 'Video Girl' a magical being designed to help whoever summons her with whatever problem they might have, the problem however becomes that instead of helping him win his crush Yota and Ai fall in love, with disastrous consequences as Ai's creator gets out to kill her for malfunctioning in that way, leaving Yota to be the one to save her and prove his love.

dinasaher23 requested I cast Australian Actor James Reid, known for his countless teen dramas over the course of the last few years, which are the kind of sappy romances that are the inspiration of things like Video Girl Ai, but what interested me about him enough to take the request was his casting in the Remake of Pedro Penduko, the quick witted half fairy hero of Philippine pulp magazine stories of the 40s and 50s. The Pedro characters is notable for his ability with no magic of his own to stand up to and defeat evil magical forces on a regular basis in the kind of way that Yota stands up to and eventually bests Ai's creator in order to prove his love for her, so i think this would work out quite well.
