Nadine's heels clicked purposefully against the airport’s polish floor, the sound undercut by the hum of pre-flight activity. She scanned her crew with a practiced eye, mentally ticking off the checklist that had long since become second nature. But… huh. Something was missing. Or someone, to be more accurate. “Have you seen Jessica?” She asked one of the stewardesses working under her, who only shook her head in response.
“This isn’t good…” Anxiety clouded Nadine’s typically prim and perfect expression ever so slightly as she glanced at the clock on the wall, dialing the phone number of the absent stewardess but receiving no response. For a long-haul flight like this that already had a lean crew, being short one stewardess could be near catastrophic. What should she do…
She cast her gaze across the departure lounge, over the heads of families corralling children, businessmen making calls or typing away on their laptops, and tourists with neck pillows seeming like they wanted to get in some sleep before even getting on the plane - and then saw a lone traveler, sitting on his lonesome with headphones covering his ears. Maybe he could help her with her predicament? Desperate times did call for desperate measures… and so Melody began walking towards the young man.
“Sir?” Christian glanced up to see a stewardess, and took off his headphones to respond. “Y-yeah?” “Are you… Mr. Edmund Jennings?” “No…” “...Huh.” The stewardess checked the clipboard she'd been holding, “Under his name was your photo, and we wanted to talk to him about his seat…” Digging his passport from his pocket, Christian handed it to the girl. “It must be a mistake… that’s definitely not me.” “Ah, how embarrassing…” The stewardess smiled, and Christian found his heartbeat speeding up a fraction - she was kind of cute, after all… “Have a nice flight, sir.” She handed the passport back to Christian, and walked off.
The young man placed his headphones over his ears once more, and sat down to continue scrolling on his phone… but then, he looked down on the floor to see a colorful kerchief lying there. “Did she leave this…?” He looked around the departure lounge, but didn't see any sign of that stewardess. At least he knew where he'd be able to find her… he leaned downwards to pick up the piece of fabric, and stuffed it into his pocket.
And then, he sat back down and continued waiting to board the plane, all the while unaware that the magic Nadine had imbued into the small kerchief was already starting to work… The first part of which manifested itself in a weird tingling sensation in the young man’s hands and feet. “Huh…” Flexing his fingers slowly, Christian took a closer look at them - and his eyes widened as he saw the nails grow out ever so slightly, rounding out as they were coated in a glossy layer of polish.
The simple strangeness of that sight made it so that Christian didn’t even know how to react at first, staring at his fingers before hair fell down to obscure his vision - and he realized the hair's color was most certainly not the same as his own. “Why is it… blue?” He grasped a bit of hair between his fingertips, felt just how much softer and smoother it felt compared to usual… and saw that it was somehow now a dark shade of blue.
Something was clearly going on here… something beyond his control. Hastily shouldering his bags, Christian ran into the airport bathroom, finding it thankfully free of people. “What is happening…” Staring at his reflection in the mirror, seeing the long hair that now fell down past his shoulders in a… very girllike fashion, he couldn't help but blush. And before his very eyes, Christian's rosy cheeks began to fill out just a little, the contours of his jawline softening and his chin narrowing to a point as his eyes widened, ever so slightly shifting his facial features in a feminine direction.
Christian's hand reached into his pocket, came back out with the silk kerchief. Come to think of it, hadn’t this all started after… Before he’d even had time to think twice about it though, Christian had already wrapped the kerchief around his neck and tied it into a loose knot with swift, practiced movements that almost felt like second nature. Staring at his reflection, Christian took a few moments to fix it so it looked just perfect - wait, what was he doing!?
“No! I have to stay focused-” Right at that moment, the young man felt a sudden tightness on his chest, like his shirt was suddenly tightening around him like a vice - but the truth of the matter was swiftly revealed as a look downwards told Christian that there, sitting on his chest, were a pair of… breasts. A pair that was growing larger and larger by the second, their sensitive skin chafing ever so slightly against the cotton of his shirt and sending tingles that were both pleasurable and uncomfortable running through his body.
He… he needed to find that stewardess! Christian frantically rushed to the gates, expecting to be stopped, but strangely the staff all let him pass through, carried on legs that were growing longer and more shapely by the minute. “Ah-!” Christian wobbled for a moment as high heels took the place of sneakers on his feet, just barely managing to right himself in time as muscle memory took over, and his posture shifted to accommodate for the newfound wideness of his hips.
The walkway leading to the plane was empty, making it so that no one saw Christian as his shirt and pants began to change too, merged together and molded into a uniform of white, blue, and goldthat hugged the changed contours of his body ever so snugly - if he were to look down, it would be immediately clear that Christian was now wearing the outfit of a stewardess. And as his boxers were replaced by a thin pair of panties, a sudden clamping pressure in Christian’s groin the only sign that his male equipment had been replaced by a female’s anatomy - all the better to not leave a bulge in the front of her perfectly tailor-fit attire. Looking ahead, her eyes widened. There - standing in the entrance to the plane was the same flight attendant who had approached Christian earlier. Surely she had something to do with… whatever this was, right!?
Nadine smiled as she saw the newest addition to her crew approach, panting for breath and her cheeks reddened by a lovely blush. “I was beginning to think when you’d arrive, Melody…” “...Melody?” The blue-haired girl looked down, eyes widening as she saw the badge pinned to her chest that clearly displayed that very name. “You did… this to me?” “Well, not completely of my own choice… we were short one flight attendant, I saw you, and figured you’d be a good choice to help out!” “But why did you have to turn me into a girl!?” “Because you’re cuter this way!” “...” And try as she might, Christian… or Melody couldn’t exactly disagree,
“If you want, I'll just turn you back once we land! And I’ll compensate you this much for helping out…” She whispered something into Melody’s ear, making the girl gasp in shock. “O-okay… you have a deal. But… how do I…” “Don’t worry, I think you’ll be a natural at it!” Nadine gently patted the surprised girl on the shoulder. “If there’s anything you’re not sure about, just ask…” And like that she was gone, and Melody was left to face the passengers, just beginning to make their way towards the plane. W-what was it that she was supposed to say? She swallowed, and gave her very first passenger a cheerful smile. “Welcome aboard!”
After that, everything seemed to pass by in a blur. Checking everything was orderly and in place, taking off, wheeling out a cart to begin distributing drinks and meals… it came surprisingly easy to Melody, almost like second nature. She even found it easier and easier to converse with her guests, the initially anxious and slightly forced smiles and laughs becoming more natural by the moment. Honestly, she had never even considered working in the service industry before, much less as a flight attendant, but this was more enjoyable than Melody could have ever conceived! So much so that the prospect of turning back into a guy was beginning to seem more and more like something regrettable…
Nadine couldn’t hold back a small smile as she watched the blue-haired stewardess easing into her new role, taking to it so easily that anyone who didn’t know could easily think her to have had years of experience. There was just one detail that she hadn’t mentioned to Melody - that as the recipient of her transformation magic spent more time in their changed form, the odds of them being able to revert back to normal would only decrease. And with a long-haul flight such as this? Those odds were very much not in the male side’s favor... though she had a feeling by the end of this flight, even Melody wouldn’t want to turn back things to the way they had been.
