As a native Russian speaker, I'd offer some improvements:

Union Navy:
1) The proper Russian for "Captain Nth rank" is "Kapitan N-go ranga".
2) "Gardemarin" was an Officer Cadet rank in the Russian Imperial Navy; the Soviet and modern Russian navies use the rank of "Michman" (lit. Midshipman) as a Warrant Officer rank.
3) "Glavny ofitser korablya" means "Chief Officer of the Ship" (which would be the ship's Captain, by definition). The CPO of the ship is called "Glavny Korabel'ny Starshina".
4) You use both "matros" and "moryak" to refer to a Russian Seaman rank. The Russian Navy has always used the rank "matros", while "moryak" is a word for any member of the Navy or the Merchant Fleet.

Union Starfigher Corps:
1) The Russian term for "Starfighter" would be "Zvezdny istrebitel" ("istrebitel" means a fighter aircraft, while "boyets" means a person who is a fighter). "Of starfighters" is translated as "Zvezdnykh istrebiteley". Also, I would personally use another term, such as "zvezdolyot" (lit. "star-flyer", compare "samolyot" - airplane).

All ranks:
1) Some ranks (like Major, Corporal, and Private) are translated literally into Russian, which is a mistake. E.g. "chastny" means "private" as in "private life", not as a rank. The proper translations are:
- Major - Mayor
- Corporal - Yefreytor (although Yefreytor is closer to a PFC/Lance Corporal rank)
- Private - Ryadovoy
2) The rank "Michman" is not used outside of the Navy; instead, the rank of "Praporschik" is used.
3) The rank of Lieutenant Colonel is translated into Russian as "Podpolkovnik" (lit. "Sub-Colonel" or "Vice-Colonel").

Other notes:
1) While "Glavny Serzhant" is grammatically correct Russian and would make sense as a rank, the Soviet and Russian armies use/used the rank "Starshina" to refer to a Master Sergeant/Sergeant Major rank. Of course, if you intended for that rank to be replaced, then it isn't a mistake at all.
2) Likewise, the Russian military has never used the rank of "General" or "full General". Instead, we had such ranks as "General en chef", "General of Infantry (Cavalry etc)", "General of the Army (General Armii)". Once again, this isn't a mistake per se - just a little inconsistent with traditional Russian ranking conventions.
3) The word "Союзный" is better translated as "Allied". I'd have translated the brach names into Russian like this:
- Военно-морской* флот Союза
- Корпус Звёздных Истребителей Союза
- Сухопутные Войска Союза
- КГБ
- Пограничные Войска Союза
* Военно-космический if this is a space navy

P.S.
Also, I admit that I have no idea what "The Petrovich Union" is supposed to mean. To a Russian, that name sounds more funny than anything.

Thank you for the tips on the nomenclature. I’m obviously not a Russian speaker.

This is for an AU and set in space. Kind of a futuristic type of steampunk. For example, there are still guns, only bullets don’t fire a solid projectile. They are batteries for a laser charge. The starships are very similar to ocean going ships, yet much larger and obviously airtight to allow space travel.

The Petrovich Union is the equivalent of history’s USSR. It is named after the star system, in fact the actual planet on which it was established, Petrovich. The names of the General ranks are meant to be almost identical to the historical USSR army ranks. However as with the majority of things in this alternative universe, there are minute differences. A good bit of the "errors" in the nomenclature are attempts to differentiate between the ranks of the PUFS and RFS military ranks.

There is also the Reychkin Star Federation, that is the equivalent of the current Russia. (Also named after the planet on which it was established). While all the current (and some historical) countries of the world are represented in this AU, their names have been slightly altered. For example, the “Villains” of this alternative universe are the National Democratic Socialist Empire of Germanzia. Their historical equivalent is Nazi Germany. However, instead of using a swastika as their emblem, they use the Iron Cross.
