after the battle with mettaton, Frisk got possessed by a Megalomaniac named Chara & Accidently killed 1 of her 2 best friends Papyrus! Papyrus said it's not her because Chara made her do it. he told frisk: "I believe in you, you can fight it. Even if you don't think so, I promise." after Papyrus turn into dust, Frisk started to cry for the horrible she did, right before chara took full control of her body. Sans saw happen & gonna save frisk from chara, when sans meet frisk in the judgement hall, he ask's: "do you think even the worst person can change, that everyone can be a good person, if they just try?" & told frisk that he saw & understands happen. then he ask chara: "do you wanna have a bad time? Cause if you don't let frisk go, you are REALLY not going to like what happens next." But chara don't care at all, so sans have know choice but fight chara who is could trolling frisk's body.

During the fight, Sans realize that he can't defeat chara cause he'll might hurt frisk. So instead, he help frisk fight chara & I said: "i know you didn't answer me before, but... somewhere in there. i can feel it. there's a glimmer of a good person inside of you. the memory of someone who once wanted to do the right thing. someone who, in another time, might have even been... a friend? c'mon, buddy. do you remember me? please, if you're listening... I know you can do it. You're stronger than chara, so you can beat chara." & she. When Frisk showed mercy, she took back control as chara have popped out of her body. Sans comfort frisk with a hug as she thank sans for giving her confidence. Now frisk still bring papyrus back, & she did. Sans thanked Frisk, & Papyrus knew she can did, & they hugged with tears. Chara interruptedly appeared & attacks frisk, until papyrus & sans defeated chara. (geeettttttt dunked on!!!) Now she's have to face a as asgore, & her friends wishes her determination.
