Whoohooo! This is our 100th Pong!!

I've had such a wonderful time with Marnie doing this pong. It's been not only inspirational to see the really cool things she comes back with, but also a learning/challenge to keep returning pongs on a regular basis.

I wholeheartedly recommend ponging for anyone who wants to not only get and stay inspired, but for anyone wanting to explore, learn, and have an amazing time creating art. You don't have to do fractals either. There are some folks who are ponging with fractals and poems, and fractals and mixed media! So really, anyone can enjoy it. Go check it out at Pongorama .

I wanted to come up with something a little special for this 100th pong. I also wanted a somewhat unique shape. Since we're still relying on Amazing Surf somewhat to make our pongs a bit funner, I tried to stay away from the shapes that most people associate with ASurf. What is interesting about this one is that this just appeared with one tiny adjustment after several versions of what was an interesting but very ugly fractal:

And, look how different!!! Just one, little, tiny, adjustment in the ASurf parameters and poof! This marvelous ruffly shape appears morphed out of those ugly 'x' shapes!!

This is what makes fractals so addicting The hunt.

I've put this under manipulated fractals because I have adjusted the curves quite a bit so your render from these parameters will be close, but perhaps not quite so 'mysterious' with the shadows and highlights.

This is my #100 of Marnie [miincdesign ] and my Pong series, Pongalicous.
