Very interesting indeed! I adore seeing stuff like this by artists I admire! Thank you for sharing!

Depending on what program you're using to color, you might look into a flatting plugin. The filters I use in Photoshop (bpelt multifill and bpelt flatten) basically make flats point-and-click with the paint bucket and fills under your linework as well. Because I hate, hate, HATE flatting as well, it used to take me forever!

I'm using a prehistoric program called Adobe photo deluxe because my laptop is very old and couldn't run photoshop. I'm considering getting a new laptop though...

Gotcha, well, something to think about for the future, maybe! And though the method I use is currently exclusive to photoshop, other programs have ways to flat more quickly as well.

What program do you use to do this?

Corel painter to draw and an antique called Adobe photo deluxe to colour...

This is great! I was thinking about making a comic strip and was in need of some guidance. Thanks for giving me an idea of how long it should take!

Very interesting! Does it take you faster to colour normal pictures? As in a normal picture that's equivalent to, say the amount of detail of a however number of panels. If that makes sense..Β

I think 4 hours on a page is really fast!! I usually use 6-8 hours on mine without the scriptwriting, and mine isn't even in colors I'm a slowpoke
