The lighting and the subtle expression give the piece such a close feeling. In fact there's such it's such and ampathetic piece. She seems warm and enclosed, yet also as though she's hidden herself away. It's an almost lamentable scene though my eyes, as I feel as though she's shortly to be torn from it. It is reminiscent to me of the momentary bliss of tearing yourself from the assailments of the world, a deep breath in a crowded street.
