I bet a few saw this coming for a mile away. I've gotten comments about it.
Hidan bites him beacause he's scared, and does it out of blind instinct. He bit him as hard as he could. Hard enough to make him bleed. Hard enough, that his father gets pissed off and chases him down with a butcher knife?!? O_o
Hidan's daddy scares me.
Hidan's father being abusive and controling would explain ALOT into how he his in the anime. Likes the feeling of pain, and inflicting pain, because according to Hidan, "Pain is pleasure".
I am NOT the only one who thought about it. I've read multiple fanfics on where Hidan reveals to Kakuzu that he had a drunk abusive asshole for a father. So I'm not the first one thinking that his father was abusive.
Hidan is messed-up. Seriously. He had to have a messed-up childhood. Alot of Naruto Children do.
Why Hidan doesn't look like his father: In this particular story, I wanted Hidan to look more like his Mother then his father. She only appers in 3 pages. But you notice that the style of the sleaked back hair is hers, and For your information, she has Silver hair, and violet eyes. Like Hidan. But I think Hidan's father's features kinda look simalar to Hidan's later, except for those wrinkles under his eyes. Xp
Hidan finally gets a much needed hug. But not from Sensei. But his Sensei SHOULD give him a hug.
Hidan, Kakuzu's still sick! Don't hold him! You might catch it! Eh... But who cares. Hidan definately doesn't.

I know how children function. I work with them. It's common to see two boys hug eachother at young ages. 5 and 6 year olds really love hugs. They crave them.
Have you ever been hugged by a little child? It's the most funniest thing! They are so shorter then you, and they hug your legs so tight... so your pants almost fall down. But they are so innocent, they don't even really realize, and they don't mean to do it on perpose!
Kids are cute. I love kids. I hope to have some someday. :3
