there is several stories about who destroy the bridge. I know one of it: a german officer, who an adviser for croatian army about strategy and cannon officer, made a demostration with cannon to teach aiming with it. It is pretty uncool target to aiming practice.
Because the armee over there Croatian, everybody knows Croatian destroyed the beautiful bridge.
Maybe it is not true but that is what I read or heard...
As Turkish Wikipedia, the bridge was reconstructed by a Turkish company. And the bridge was made student arcitecture of Mimar Sinan, who left many many great buildings like Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Camii) in İstanbul.
But more from history, I like the cultural tradition of the bridge. When a boy want to prove his love to his girl friend, he jump from the bridge. It is pretty amazing story. Today still people jump from the bridge as sport. I really want to see and photograph her/him.
As I read from Wikipedia and saw/watch from a Turkish Travel-Programm in TV, there is several bridges in Mostar and all of the destroyed by some reason. And finally the build a iron bridge to location of famous Mostar Bridge for their bloody tanks and equitment.
If you found this photograph from your 1992 Mostar archive, it is pretty sure it can be from Mostar and I am pretty sure it is not from Spain. It is imposible cause the arcitecture more from Balkan's and the Spain bridge haven't any base plate at colon.
Probably it is a monochrome negative. How do you archive your films? Do you use silica jels for humidity? Do you keep them in speacial boxes???

thank you my friend for this commending, yes, i think the bridge is from the balkan and i will check it out...
no, it is a diapositive, i have thousends, connencted in the last 30 years, but not the time to check them all...
i preserve them in woodboxes and since today it is ok, no dampness and no light, but the biggest problem is to get a good scan, i`m working with a reflecta 7200, but i`m never contented with the result...

then it is digitally converted to b/w. Film is film and I begin to worry about the conditions in my room. Okey maximum 2 years old color negatives but I want to keep them safe. Now I am using silica jels af my document folder with "Negativ-Ablage" (we call that papers "Pergamin" in Turkish).
Scans are problem I guess. I will will be never happy, I guess... I use photo clubs scanner CanoScan 9950F. It is nice machine, but software is really old and scanner need some maintenance....

I don't know, maybe..
I will ask, or better, I'll try to find images of that bridge before the war, and compare it with your picture, and how it looks today.

I`m not really shure, I thought it was the old mostar bridge, but it isn`t... I was 1992 in ex-jugoslawia near the border to albania, may be somebody knows...
