To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Railway Series books, Edward has the same color scheme as Thomas and Gordon, but he has yellow lining on both sides of his red stripes and he also has a blue ban on his funnel to represnt that he will still work for as long as he lives. One more thing, he has red hand rails on his boiler, cab, a brake handle on his tender and a red side rods to make him stand out.
