Description
I originally intended to use this drawing for my AP Studio Art concentration on gender to see which hand was interpreted as masculine and which as feminine. However, I don't think my observational skills are enough to really differentiate between the hands. What do you think? Maybe I should try one with a ring, or some other symbol (although personally I think that might be cheating).One of the hands is mine, so of course they kept moving while I was drawing. This made it hard to keep them consistent, but I did my best.

I really like this piece, I agree with eman66 about the long and slender, but I disagree with the colors, the colors are beautiful I believe from my point of view that it adds more character to the the hands that you've done. Hands for me are one of the hardest to draw, paint, or whatever you are doing them in... But anyways Great job!

I would've photographed it, but that was kind of difficult because of the angle of trying to hold the model's hand while drawing with my right hand. I actually had to look at the clasped hands in a mirror to draw them. The hand on the right is actually the guy! What made you think it was female? It'd be great to know for my write-up on my concentration.

Because it's more long and slender... i dunno... the color kinda made me feel it was smoother and less rough as *and i'm making a huge steriotype, and you know i don't feel that way... look at my hands* man's steriotypical hands would be. It was just my first impression. and that's my sad attempt at being artsy and critical

Actually, my hand is the one on the left. I intentionally chose someone with feminine hands though to see if I could confuse people. Judging by the comments, it's great to see people with various answers, because part of my concentration is to challenge how people judge gender.

Lol, but hands are great because they're all so different, and it's hard to be cliche with them because they're difficult to draw, unlike eyes.
