Found this hiding away in my art folders. Bit of an older image that I'd meant to post a long time ago, and I recall was the inspiration for the three Greek urn themed images I posted a while back as well.

The image itself depicts a conflict in one of my older story ideas where a faction of pegasi refused to go along with the unification of the tribes. Believing the other two tribes would consider it an internal matter of the pegasi they staged a coup in an attempt to take over the tribe so they could take the lands of Equestria for themselves. However, in an unprecedented show of unity the other tribes were convinced that standing together as the singular nation they were trying to become would be in the best interest of all. In the end the rogue faction came face to face with the full might and magic of the first unified Equestrian military force, and the aftermath set in motion events that would lead to the new nation of Equestria seeking out rulers who would represent all ponies rather than individual tribes.
