Description My first upload. ^_^

Anyway, these are three 4-week old kittens my best friend asked me to take care of, while her family was at the Miss American Miss pageant in Anaheim, Calif. They knew they'd be too busy to take care of these kittens that my friend saved from getting to sleep by a short-staffed shelter.

So, here they are, arranged on my feet. Pic taken by the neighbor who would like one, her cousin wants another, and a friend of hers the third. Homes accidentally found just by asking for a ride to the pet-store for more formula.

I don't know about the mother.

As much of the story as I know is that my friend went to the shelter with her kids, just to look.

A woman was trying to drop off a little of four, told that they had so many bottle-feds already, these would have to be euthanized!

Some woman took one outright. I'm told that one was a white-furred girl. My friend took these two orange toms and their sister.

Then, asked if I could watch them this week. Twice. Once earlier this week, then again, so that they could take their daughter to participate in the NAM.

We weren't gonna name them, because we were giving them away.

But you can't take care of three kittens for most of the week, seeing to their needs 24 hours a day and feeding them (like Human babies) all the time. LOL! 2:00 and 4:00 in the morning feedings.

So, I call the little part calico "Little Turtle", because she fell on her back in the nest box a few days ago and rolled around on her back. I said, "You're like a little turtle!" LOL! The boys are the Twins, just because I can't tell them apart, tho' my friend's son and my other friend who wants one says one is lighter than the other ...

This is especially funny as well as cute. Why? Little Turtle was peeing on my dressed. I had no idea till I picked her up again. My neighbor LOLed all the way back to her own apartment.

She has copies of these pics uploaded to her Facebook.

So far, at least two of them "blessed" my clothing three different times -- and my bed once. Oh, noes! LOL!!!

EDIT 1:

Tuesday, July 3rd 2012.

... Little Turtle died last night. Apparently, my friend's younger daughter was playing too rough and says Turtle died of a broken back. The father disposed of the ... body. ... Probably took her to the local vet.

She was my favorite. She was getting on really well, I thought. The first to learn how to get out of the nest box. The first to eat solid food, nibbling on my older cats' food, even when I was fixing ... her last bottle.

I can't stop crying ...

EDIT 2:

Well, watching the kittens again. This time, it looks like I got them for the long haul, until they are ready to be adopted. Was supposed to be just a few days, while the owners were out of town again -- and now, I was just asked if I'd like to just keep them here until they are weaned and fully house-broken.

I said yes.

Aw. Yeah.

I was sorry I had to give them up yesterday, but Melissa only needed me to do this from Thursday to Sunday morning, altho' because of her daughter's pageant, I got them a night early, because she gave everyone that couldn't see all the parts of her show a chance to see her dance-number -- and the rehearsal at home turned into a party for all invited with cake -- and I took home the cake and the kittens.

And Sunday. It was supposed to be just till morning, but the family was so busy, I got to keep them till late afternoon.

I felt sad, getting them and their care stuff together to be picked up, but I know they are getting good care, whether from me or Melissa and her family -- and they'll be going out to new families (actually got a few ppl already lined up) as soon as they are weened and potty-trained -- and no longer sneaking squirts on shirts and dresses! LOL!!!
