Albino Imps aren't plenty in number, and many can have misconceptions. But Benvolia, Meri now, has tried to fight against it. Being albino made you stand out as much as being melanistic, with the only difference being a prime color and whether or not you could see your own hide. You were naturally a show imp in some minds; like other mutated imps, you were sought out for your prized look and not much else. And Meri didn't want that at all - she wanted to adventure, she wanted to see the world. She wanted to learn and be, well, merry. She wanted to stand out and not just for her hide. But it was hard, nearly impossible...

And then she met Sirius.

Sirius was the exact opposite of her in fur colors, and yet he had not much special about him. He couldn't deflate his gels, but Meri honestly didn't know what that meant. And he tried to explain, but couldn't do it very well since he couldn't immediately see another Standard Imp. But he described his theories, his interests, and chatted up with Meri. And Meri found that he didn't even know she was albino, mistaking her for just a white-pelted Digger. His only concerns seemed to be then about her health, and his surprise about how different she was from the other Digger he knew made her laugh.

Meri liked Sirius. And Sirius loved Meri's company.
