Description
I've decided I want more monster characters, so I'll start by giving Kavasi and other descendants of Szkahaav a monstrous form

She can either shift into this form by will, or if she dies too many times.

In that state, she is on the very edge of reality and the void. In order to stay coherent, she needs to consume quite a bit of vital energy. She can absorb quite a bit from general surroundings - so the more people around, better for her - but at some point she might be tempted to violence. The less vital energy she has, the more her sense of self slips away. She might still have an instinct that she needs energy, which could lead to her killing something/someone, but once she tips over a certain edge, she would completely lose her identity and become one with the void. It is almost impossible to return from that, though Ihlesi (Kav's sibling) is dancing along that edge.

In order to return to her human form, she needs vital energy above a certain threshold, and also a desire to change back. (For the record, she can totally be hugged back into her human form since physical contact transfers energy.)
