This is my entry for 's APN contest.I was super afraid that I couldn't make it but this is finished at last! Everything in this art is handrdrawn and newly made specifically for this competition. The bird in the picture might look fictional but it is in fact a real species! She is a Chinese Sparrowhawk (Accipiter soloensis)!

The lighting from that moon is gorgeous! I really like how it shines off the feathers and the clouds. Also, that's a nice dynamic angle you chose for the shot!

This is really awesome! The lighting, especially the night lighting, add an oneiric vibe to the composition. As if a magic fume is hugging everything. The hue of colours is really well made and professional, the clouds are made with a gentle stroke along with the blue sky. It gives a gentle feeling of a serene night flight. The bird is extraordinary in the way you positioned the body. The angle formed by this choice of making the character oblique in perspective, is spot on!.
Congratulations and sorry if i don't always comment with more continuity but ultimately my activity here dropped a bit or at least i prefer to post quality over quantity. This doesn't mean i don't take a look at your works (or the works of other people i follow). It's a joy to admire your Art and i admire the fact you manage to make quality Art and balance it with your personal studies.

tbh i didn't know chinese sparrowhawks were a thing until now and i am hella in love with them ~ XD
