EDIT - MOVED NOSE OVER. hehe.my alt. character on the thorns. not quite complete, but it was just a quicky to get her out of my head.

stipple 43 brush with opacity set to 80 and flow set to 36, pen pressure on.

Nice work on the hair. It looks pretty shiny... perhaps a bit too shiny, but still looks good. The hair certainly has volume.

i'm still working on your other piccy. since getting back to work, this 30min stuff is the best i can poop out. i promise to paint you a mermaid as soon as i can. i lost the other file i did see...and i was thinking about redoing the same image..but...well..have you ever posted on a forum and had your post not work, then lost the entire thing? its like that..and you just get mad when you start to redo it. lol. but fear NOT! i will either paint it in photoshop or i will have to draw something like the tiger mask chick i did.

Oh yes, I know the feeling well. Things like that used to happen to me all the time when typing journals. But now, once I'm done, I copy and paste it into a word document just in case. You never know with dA.

That is -really- good considering you did it in only thirty minutes. I don't think I could ever be capable of speed painting like that, otherwise I'd try and just go nuts and do as many as I could. Granted, you had a reference but for me, my digital paintings take ages, even with references.
I have to agree with Soullessaddicti0n, the nose on the character looks a little off and in my opinion, so does the left side of her lower lip. I love the overall colour and tone though, very realistic, especially for the eye and the hair!

Oh I see. I didn't know you already did an edit. In my honest opinion, yeah, I think the nose is a little off. Personally, it should be a little more to the right.. I dunno by how much though, but hey that's just me being picky I guess.

I like this one a lot, it's got very clear character behind it. Her angular face is very striking. She looks bored and angry at the same time, and a little drugged out.
