Description Another 1 of 3 illustrations done for the band Winterfold , all depicting the hooded character going through the varying states of despondency, feelings of loss and hopelessness - at an apocalyptic scale.

Be sure to check out Winterfold's Facebook page for more!
They've also got their official EP album launch on November 8th next month in Perth, here's the event for the gig: www.facebook.com/events/714817…

I love your work and think this is a really solid comp. To jump straight into the critique, I'd fix the fingers on his right hand, they're just a bit too far apart and angled a bit oddly. His left hand isn't so much the issue. Outside of just general tightening of certain things (like the tire to the right and the roots of the tree behind it) I think you could maybe toss in some "god rays" from the light above the water shooting down past the character (which would also give you some light to cast beam like shadows coming off of him towards the camera. The pic as a whole might use a lil bump in saturation, but then again you could be going for a muddy water vibe. I think the pic is great, but I know you could push yourself just a bit more and make it really fucking awesome. My 2 cents man, good work as usual though!

i like the use of color and shading. it so realistically paints an image in my mind where im wondering what happens next or how the character got into this position. was it an explosion? a tidal wave? a cyclone? A sinking ship? it provokes questions and creates a certain mystery where i'm wishing it was a movie if you know what i mean? (it looks like a still image or a freeze frame from a movie) it creates tension and leaves the question "will the figure survive?" i like how the bubbles look they are soooooo cool and i wish id thought of something like it. its really really really good you are an amazing artist e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

I'll definitely want to look at this some more later on, but as far as first impressions go, I love it. I'm a huge fan of playing those cheap hidden object games and this reminds me of the sort of concept art used in such games. Imo, that's a very good thing, even if it's the obscurity of it all that I'm going off of :3

When I saw it I thought it was Hoody from Marble Hornets...though no one who has such good art skills such as yours has fallen into the fandom's trap yet.  Still, great job on it...I am mad at myself for not seeing how to be able to do things such as this...it seems so simple too...like, I just need to take more time...and pay more attention...
