Description

During Scar’s reign, some lions were exiled from the Pridelands, mostly Simba’s old friends. Some managed to find each other and form little groups to survive, like these 2 couples here.

Chumvi and Kula, the first ones, were friends since cubs, so it was easy for them to form a team. They easily fell in love with each other and would rather starve than be separated. After Scar’s defeat, they returned to the Pridelands and ended up having a son named Amaziah, who will later become Imara’s mate.

Mheetu and Tama didn’t have it as easy tho. While excited to find a familiar face after so long, Tama would have prefered anyone than Scar’s son. Sure, she knew that the tyrant didnt recognize Mheetu as his offspring but still, he was Scar’s son. Mheetu realized that his pressence made her uncomfortable, so he tried his best to stay as far as he could, only joining her when hunting. These little actions made Tama realize that she has been too quickly to judge Mheetu, specially when one night, she found the young lion crying. She comforted him and listened to his laments: the way he blamed himself for not being strong enough to confront his father, for losing Kijani and for being a burden to Tama. The lioness let him cry that night and later apologized, telling him that he wasnt a burden and that she was glad to have him as a partner. Little by little they also fell in love with each other, and the result would be Zuri.

The scars the boys have were caused by the hyenas when they were leaving the Pridelands after their respective exile.
