First I want to say good eye! I know from previous pictures that you are a very talented photographer, so I want to take a moment and share a little bit of my personal perspective. One thing to keep in mind is that everyone is different, and all artists/clients will want/like different types of work, so never take it to heart when someone dislikes something of yours.
As for my critique...
The focus is nice, the moment is captured well. I know it's not much of a "I specifically made this picture like this" type of thing, but props to catching the moment as it passed you. The angle is great, and gives a proper perspective of the cat being above, but not too high up.
I think exposure is also pretty decent. If anything, I would have lowered the aperture to make it a tiny bit darker, OR I would have Photoshopped the flowers on the right so they aren't so stunningly pink in the small splotches of sun. It's a hard call, and I'm leaning more toward Photoshop, reason being that much darker and the cat's features would start to disappear. Also, the bright of the eye in the sun wouldn't be so stunning, which helps make the piece beautiful.
The last thing I want to mention is composition. The cat is off center, even just a little, which is good, but the fact that it's facing toward the viewer's left and is off center to the viewer's left makes it slightly awkward. I don't mean awkward in a bad way, it can be a stylistic choice that aids in giving a piece a specific feeling. If you were going for a natural feeling, then it would have been better to position the cat a little bit to the viewer's right because the cat is definitely looking toward the viewer's left. Again, I understand that this might have been the only photo you could snap before the cat moved, and that's not your fault. Also, I understand that you might have intended to put as much flower in the picture as possible, which is understandable. Depending on the desired feeling of the picture, it might have been better to have less flower so that the position of the cat was more natural.
Overall, I really like this piece. Cat is beautiful, position is great, colors aid each other. Keep at it!
