Description

Exclusively carried by the entourage of bodyguards assigned to whomever currently holds the position of mayor of Saturn. Only six were ever made and it is each guards responsibility to look after these just as much their charge.

Trivia:

In the first book, 'Sunset On Saturn; When the Moon Falls' These weapons were described as being essentially tube feeder M1 Garand's. However. (Probably for the best.) The props department for the film adaptation had a very hard time visualization what that would look like or how it would work.

Eventually they settled on a total redesign. This new version using a Henry 1860 as direct inspiration. This was met so well the author "Jack Weston" gave it an official stamp of approval as the new cannon design

Though never fired in any of the six films. The series bible 'Between the Rings' Does mention they are chambered in caseless .308 and can shot 13 times before a reload. which is why they do not have an ejection port.

They do however see a lot more action in the animated series when the mayoral guard have to fight off Hayley and the comets gang.

In the first film during the end funeral. actor, Thomas Bradly. whom played unnamed guard number three. accidentally stabbed himself in the eye with the guns real metal unsharpened blade. This is why Deputy Sky took his place during the final gun salute. It is also for this reason the bayonet in all subsequent films is swapped out for a foam replica.
