Awww! It's lovely to see Duke smile, it's a rare sight. I think other than Regina and Yuuta, Shadowmaru is probably most likely to bring a smile to Duke's face with his kindness and patience

These two are probably my second or third favorite bro-pair in the show. (I also think the ship is cute.) Shadowmaru is sort of an ultra-bro character to, like... everyone, so it was nice of him to be a bit of support for Duke when he was a little ostracized now and again.
Your Dukes are sweet and, again, I salute your confidence in drawing Wolfmarus.

That's actually how I feel 'Maru is sometimes. Except then there's I ship him hard with Drill Boy so that's not always true for me I guess do;abljf
He's really a pain in the butt to draw in that form and at some point I'm pretty sure I said "Screw this" and just went with whatever happened on the canvas.

One of the things I admire about Shadowmaru is how much of a subtle support he is. Him leaping to stop McCrane from committing a horrible deed in the Inti episode and him speaking up to Power Joe after the Lua incident spring to mind, among other things. It's part of his niche. His and Duke's friendship is really nice for that reason! Duke could always use some bros around, especially with Lady so far away.
(And haha, we all have exceptions! Drill Boy is too child-like for me to ship with anyone, but I do love his and Shadowmaru's relationship. They remind me of step-brothers and it's very cute.)
Major kudos to you for drawing something so difficult - it turned out well!
