++ the reason why I think this song fits this scene is that even though Sakura has been with someone else, but Sasori's feelings for her doesn't change. And not like Itachi who has wealth and almost everything, he's just an ordinary guy who loves her.
and also, if you watch the original version of the song, it's actually about a guy who never got the girl, because he died of illness, and only after his death the girl realized that he had loved her all the time... (why suddenly it reminds me of Itachi??)
