A RAW bracelet using Pearls, Swarvoski Crystals and size 11 seed beads.I thought a gold barrel slider clasp would be too bright and as I couldn't get an antique gold one I decided to try and make the one I had 'invisible' by adding a band of square stitch each side and sewing the clasp to the back...I think its worked?!

Ooooh. Very lovely. I do think it worked. ^^ I love how subdued the colors are. Like something you'd see in a museum, with a plaque that said it was once worn by some famous 50's actress.

I was wondering where the clasp was until I read the comment... a great solution! Sometimes matching clasps to finished pieces can be truly difficult.

...I know...I have great diffiuclty with clasps sometimes. With this one I knew what I wanted but couldn't find it so this was the best solution.

RAW is right angled weave...I've also heard it called square netting. That is the base of this bracelet and then the pearls and crystals were put in afterwards. You can see the base squares on the reverse side of the bracelet

Thanks Christina! I know...I think a clasp can make a piece or it can spoil it and yes, I also have trouble with them. I knew what I wanted with this but I couldn't find one in the colour so this seemed the best solution...I was pleased how it came out.

I fell in love with the crystals when I saw them as they are a very subtle shade but then I saw the pearls and thought I'd got to use them together!
