Description My mascot's partner! He's been a long time in the making and I'm so glad I settled on a design! I know it's sort of an unrelated first post to this account but I think he's so cute.

His name was suggested by Dead-Donkey , in my discord server!

Mini Bio...
Name: Diego Boofson
Nickname(s): Dee, Boof, Boo, Deebee, Bumblebee
Species: Outburst-Created Chimera
Identity: Male (He/him), Bisexual/Biromantic
Size: About the size of a Grizzly Bear - Haunches are a bit lower than shoulder level.
Details:
- He is biologically a mix of several dog breeds, including Caucasian Shepherd, German Shepherd, Great Pyreneese, Duck Toller, Australian Shepherd, and many more. Very mixed heritage.
- His horns, as described, are seasonal; they fall off every late winter/early spring. As such, he likes to have them carved with different designs, and he often sells his old antlers for others to carve jewlery out of.
- It's almost like his antlers are made of Opal, as they're multicoloured and almost multi-dimensional and play with the light.
- His chimera parts are mostly Raptor, Rabbit, Bull, and Bee. (Yes, he LOVES honey)

If you're wondering what an "Outburst-Created Chimera" (or OCC) is, you're in the right place. Essentially, in this little universe I set up, magic isn't uncommon but it is generally very mundane in use. Levitating small things, a little bit of extra flavour in food, a bit of pain management, you know... small things. However, sometimes, if a parent uses magic often during a pregnancy, the conflict of two types of magic (some from the developing fetus, some from the parent) can clash and create a small outburst. Usually this isn't too bad and it might only cumulate in an odd eye colour in the young, or a bit of activity, but otherwise doesn't usually do much. However, if the parent is particularly strong when using magic, an outburst can cause different effects. Sometimes it can multiply the amount of fetuses (surprise, you're having twins!!) or in this case, it can randomly tack on different animal parts regardless of the parent's traits.

So, for Diego, he had very magic-adept family. Whatever siblings he has, they are all dogs, and Diego just happened to be the one that got the magic outburst! It's really rare, only like 1/10,000, but isn't impossible to have a couple chimeras in each city. It's not often that an Outburst-Chimera displays more than four characteristics that differentiate from the parent(s), but still possible. However Diego here has a very large dog breed like build with some extra features: dino legs and nose horn, specific raptor scaling/plating, a bunny nose, a bunny-ish bee-ish tail. So that's not super crazy and he still looks pretty similar to his parents and siblings.

There are also Natural-Born Chimeras (NBCs) who are children with mixed-heritage parents. So if you had a dog-turtle hybrid and an owl-horse hybrid, and they had a baby, the child could come out with a ton of different characteristics, though it's more likely for the genes to override and default to looking like either one of the parents or even look just like one of the grandparents. These are more common, say 1/5,000, but often the children also will lose certain traits they are born with... or, if cumbersome, they can choose to remove certain characteristics by magical surgery lol.

In this universe (not sure what I'll call it yet??) they're usually anthropomorphic, but I figured feral is more suitable for a ref... soon i'll draw him upright tho. I just suck at drawing anthro legs properly lol.

Hope you like him !
