Description
If a furry should "douse his snout," it may be ruined and the furry would not look presentable anymore. Just like some articles of clothing can be stained or come apart if they get soaked, the same goes for the materials that make up a furry's snout.

Remember, these furries aren't anthros, they're people wearing a special kind of fursuit. They have to construct most of the parts "by paw," including the head piece (or their "furry-face," as they call it). Probably the biggest element of artistic license in the comic is the fact that the furries have a full range of facial expression, despite the fact they're wearing what is essentially a mask, probably constructed out of felt, cloth, and cardboard, with maybe some plastic or rubber parts. However they make it work, they just do. You'll just have to roll with that one, and suspend a bit of disbelief. Since they can speak clearly and express emotion clearly while wearing a furry-face, I also imagine the Utopian furries are able to eat and drink while wearing one, but they'd have to be very careful, and not eat anything too messy, or chug beverages like Pawl is doing here. Spillage could potentially ruin a furry's furry-face if he isn't careful , and a "soggy snout" would not be very attractive. But they probably make several of the furry-faces and fursuits at a time, so they always have spares.

We also get our first look at one of the wolves here. Wolves are fairly rare in our story, as their line is fading. Of all Utopian Furries, the wolves favor a shaggier pelt, which you can see on Bayree.
