"Chat Friendly" is simply a deviantArt submission category that means that the emote is functional as an expression in conversation and is small enough (normally 15x15, sometimes slightly larger) to not disrupt the flow of text. This, for example, is a 15x15 emoticon and can be functionally used to express dumbfoundedness or speechless surprise in a normal-sized (12-point font) conversation.

As for the hands...they could go either way. Taking them out would be fine but they aren't hurting anything where they are.
Maybe you could have them kind of limp beside him, like they're laying on the ground? It might add to the whole expression.

Yeah, I was wondering if it'd look too empty if the hands were removed...I usually do hands simply because just ball emotes look a little empty, but at the same time it's not necessarily bad, a bunch of legend emotes don't have hands and they look pretty much just fine. I'll leave them in unless a some people request their removal. Thanks
