When that fails, they throw her in the dungeon. Undeterred by that, she works on her escape, when she meets the redheaded pig farmer, Taran.

I love the Black Cauldron! Unfortunately it is one of the few Disney movies that no one knows about. Glad to see it get recognized here

thank you very much. I think john hurt was an excellent Horned King, and I liked that it wasn't filled with stupid. chipper songs.
A movie like that was ahead of it's time, and also like Atlantis and Treasure Planet (some of my FAVs btw) were also like that and didn't receive much recognition. So I get very upset when people do these "official princess" BS and leave Kida and Eilonwy out.
Excuse me, born freaking royalty right there. Doesn't matter that Kida gets crowned queen and Eilonwy doesn't get married, they have the fucking title.
(I get the whole debacle over Giselle, her being played by a real person blah blah blah. She should be given the title of Heroine anyway since she actually doesn't marry Prince Edward.)

Treasure Planet!!! Was awesome! Unfortunately Sci-Fi and Fantasy animation is very limited and does not get the true credit it deserves. Hopefully in the future it will have more animated movies like Black Cauldron and some forth.

I honestly cannot stand the majority if CGI films.
I like Shrek, and the early Pixar movies but now all this new stuff just blurrs in front of my eyes and its like there's nothing original anymore even though they claim it's totally new from anything before it.
