Oh my!
It's kinda funny, I came across a figure of her in a dollar toy box at Vintage Stock. Then I went to visit my mother and she was going through boxes from the storage unit and I find a Catra figure-in like, perfect condition with her tail and I'm like whoa, where'd this come from?
She said it was from the auction she and my uncle went to recently.
So anyway, she gave me the good figure and I passed the secondhand one to my daughter.
She's two. She usually puts her in a toy car.

Lol, there were days they'd lock me out of the house, so I'd have to go to a friend's and use the phone and call mom at work and tell her what happened. Those happened often actually.....

well that really sucks. Today if that happened parents would lose their children

yeah and it's not the parent's fault either.
and people then would turn on me and be like, aren't you the oldest? aren't you in charge?
you could've done something.
No, actually not. My stepbrother who is a year younger was bigger and stronger. When I did fight him, I'd get hurt. And my two younger brothers would follow his lead. Mostly out of fear. So we did put him in child therapy for a bit to work on his anger issues.
My stepfather's response to everything was swing a belt and demand obedience
He'd hit anyone who stood up to him.
So growing up my life was split between having a loving family and caring parent (my mother, and her family)
and being ostracized, bullied, abused, and treated like a second class citizen by my stepfather and his family

wasn't getting the belt illegal where you are in your childhood? I know it was here. Getting the strap had already been weened out and if any parent belted their child would have been arrested.

well, despite that, it was still hard to prove a decorated military man of abusing his wife and kids...

no, you see when the divorce was being finalized he lied to my mom about what the court date was so we missed it. But it doesn't matter anymore, it's done and over with and he's no longer a part of my life.
