Well, today's the day, isn't it?
Told you I'd complete it. In fact, I did so two days early, but to show it too soon? Hah, I don't know. XD;;

This picture, for those of you who don't yet know, is to celebrate Starfox Zero's release! ^^ I've been waiting years so many -too many- for this, and am so more than happy to see life finally breathed into Starfox once again. Hopefully from there, they'll pick back up and do much more in the coming other years --after all, this is only just the begining so far!
I'll be sticking around every step of the way, just to see it all unfold. I want to make sure it does in any way that I can, even from the useless spot I'm presently in. I love Starfox just that much. No one's gonna stop me! Just as much as my friendships are my everything, Starfox is too. So if anyone tries to meddle with any of that in any way, shame on them! (In fact, shame on Mom today... I won't get into it... )

So coloring went okay I guess. I was very bent on not rushing this (as usual, but taken more seriously than you'd guess this time around) and to my own surprise, needed often a break because my brain would just shut down after landslides of colortest after colortest (separate sheets of paper)! I still have some things to nitpick at myself, but it was still well worth it. IRL though, Avaika's hair, in this piece, is of unfortunately inaccurate color (I tried, okay? ), but because my scanner picks up colors incorrectly anyway, I took advantage of that to fix all of them properly and correct Avaika's own as much as I could.
It was all very difficult. I was relying on sunny periods of each day in order to know which colors best to use for what, and as truest seen. No indoor light is ever gonna do that and don't I know it well!

Yes, I get it. "Ewww a fancharacter!" You don't have to tell me! |D;;

Anyway, so the rest of you people, now that we have that out of the way: How part does Avai look now? (Admittedly I messed up on the transparency of her sleeves, which went better on the third colortest paper (its first instance) So take it more lightly this time around in determining anything, will ya? Think of the first instance this design appeared too!) (Also the floaty glowy thing near her neck is hardly visible and I apologize for that. )

I hope I nailed it enough. That's what I was going for anyway --as well as keeping her herself through and through (which I luckily have no doubt in at slightest) at the same time.

Also, how's the rest of the team?
I'm particularly proud of Slippy... yet again. (If you are interested, the WIP is here ) He just-- It all just came together, you know? Like the stars aligned for him or something. XD;; Slippy's undercolor was soooo hard to make though!
Peppy was enjoyable until I got to his fur color.
Falco was just plain easy, but I was concerned with how grainy and gap-abundant the blue was coming up. I did what I could to fix it but... he still looks just barely alive.
Fox? Even his own fur color was a pain. I need more different kinds of prismacolors, to be honest, especially in the red/orange dept. ... I also realize I didn't fully draw out his SF patch, let alone a considerable much more of his left arm (viewer's right) and that was kind of awful of me... Also, his nose was forgotten about color-wise (because haha, screw noses, right? totally not pulling a joke about my chilldhood, haha nope |D;; )

There are some things I could have done better, from shiny objects to glows and attentions thereof, and other things, but overall, this piece just makes me so very happy in the end. One wouldn't even know at fullest from a glance or seconds more!

That all being spilled mercilessly onto the forefront....
