How do you dismantle a human wig into wefts?

I turn the wig inside out and then remove the seams attaching the wefts to the wigcap with one of these:

A small pair of scizzers or a fine knife and a lot of patience do the trick as well! ^^

Thanks. ^^..
I managed to figure it out. The wig I bought already was coming apart so It made it easy, I think I did pretty good, I'm actually going to make her a fourth wig tonight since I still have hair and I messed up cutting the first one.

If there's one thing you can count on when taking apart a human wig, is that it'll give you enough wefts for a small army of doll wigs xD
I'm a bit late in replying this time, but how did your new wig work out? ^^

Pretty good, It's a little messy towards the top but I'm hoping some boilwashing and some styling will help with that.
And I know. xD
I have a whole bag of hair still. I can't wait to buy more wigs for my other dolls in other colors.

Hopefully you'll get it working out properly! ^^
I really should go back to making wigs again soon xD

How much weft do you use for an MSD?

Not a lot, really. It's a bit hard to say because I tend to buy human wigs and take them apart, but I'd say about half a meter for a nice, full wig.

According to a converter, it will be "1ft 711⁄16in"
It's just an estimate though, as I never really measured xD;; Just in case, make sure to have a bit more ^^

Well, two feet sounds like it would do it. Thank you!

How would one go about making a wig this way with a straight part down the middle? This tutorial is perfect for me, my doll just doesn't have bangs XD

I am... not completely sure xD;
I do have something in mind that might work, but I'll have to try it out to make sure. If you're still interested, I can see if I can get it to work ^^

I would love that! I can't really find anything that explains middle parts without bangs for wigs, and my doll is going to be so big...and his hair so fucking long...I'd really, really appreciate that.

This is just a quick guess, will try it out and work on it when I actually get some more hair wefts, but maybe something like this could help?
[link]
Shape the wig-cap into a bit of a more natural form and start attaching the wefts like that so that they fall down to the side on both parts. It would leave a center part on the top.
Ofc, the hair parts would need to fall over the rims as well.
... Not sure if that actually made sense to you, I think it barely made sense to me xD;;
Hopefully I'll have some wefts in somewhere next month, then I'll be able to mess around to try to find you a solution ^^

I made a real quick [and, admittingly, really bad quality] wig that doesn't have bangs. Though they're a bit unclear, I snapped some pics of the progress. If you're still interested in seeing it, I'll put them together for you ^^

Okay, so instead of a circle, do rainbow shaped weft patterns from side to side, back of the head to front, and then for the main part, did you do two different wefts to the two separate sides?
Thank you sososo much for this, it helps me so much, you have no idea XD

I pretty much just did the rainbow thing the entire time xD;
At the top I just made a U out of one piece, but I guess that would depend on how you want it to look. You can also put two seperate pieces against each other to do || instead of U.
I... hope that made sense xD;;
At anyway, you're welcome! ^^

You're welcome! So far I've been able to catch my dolls by the hair without the hairs letting go, haha~

If nothing else you'll have something good to hold onto should they ever fall over (asuming the wig caps aren't loose) xD
