Two of the more important mammals of Eocene Transylvania...
The larger of the pair is the most western-most known brontothere, Brachydiastematherium transylvanicum. Although it's known only from a mandible fragment, that fragment is similar to, if not identical to the mandible of the Mongolian brontotheres of the genus Metatitan, the skulls of which I used to reconstruct it. Legend has it that if you repeat "Brachydiastematherium transylvanicum" five times in front of your bathroom mirror at midnight in the dark, your reflection turns into that of Vlad Tepes', and kills you. If you say "Brachydiastematherium transylvanicum" backwards five times, Vlad Tepes will grant you your heart's wish, instead.
The smaller of the pair is the primitive arsinoithere Crivadiatherium iliescui, known primarily from teeth and a fragment of a mandible. According to Romanian lore, Vlad Tepes ate the last one, but, was so filled with remorse over what he did/ate, that he had his cook impaled.
