Description Eujeel lucifer, the so-called Avigonian Night Devil, is the largest known limacothere of Avigonia. This monstrous, 50 to 200 kg predator is also among the few luminescent limacothere, harboring various symbiotic bacteria within its skin. These symbiotes are transferred from generation to generation through infection within the fertilized egg before the mother lays them. E. lucifer preys on any animal it stalks and overpowers, primarily small tragolagids, and other limacotheres.
Individuals communicate with each other through the controlled blinking and glowing of their luminescent organs (by controlling the flow of oxygen to their symbiotes). Those individuals who fail to become infected with their symbiotes rarely survive into adulthood, with those who do inevitably being cannibalized by other adults.

A lot of people would look at this and say it's stupid, but when you know what family snails belong to, and that they're not so distant from octopi you can appreciate it. This really is a very interesting idea...snails with tentacles.

It would probably be pretty disgusting to see in real life though.

I envision it as a snake with arms, and tentacles.

AWESOME design and color scheme. I really like the way that the bioluminescence stands out against that deep purple skin. Gorgeous and deadly - the best combination.

I plan to redraw him, too.
Maybe pose him catching something?

Wow cool concept! For a moment there ,i really thought it was real judged by your comments but then again you always do a detailed comment.

A 200 kg? oh my !i'm like 1/4 of that things weight. Dont anybody in that world have that restraining/size down law, to keep them in control?i wouldnt want a herd of 200 kg animals rampaging my cute lil village that is.

Also kinda reminded me of squids, they can change colors of their skins, creepy though! Btw, i'm phobia of maggots XP . Been out of kitchen for 3 days for seeing a couple of maggots in trash bin hah!

Oh, and I hate maggots, too...
But I like to take them in (old and dirty) chopsticks and feed them to my goldfish.

I'm thinking that I'll probably readjust the weight of Eujeel to something more reasonable before I put it into my book (maybe 20 to 50 kg?), though I stand firm by the idea that it's going to be a giant, killer slug. Fortunately (for you, and its prey), Eujeel are solitary, and don't like the presence of each other, except during mating season. And I figure that they aren't crushed by their own weight, in that, the internal organs are neatly protected in a capsule of flexible but firm cartilage.

Paintbrush set at dissolve, then blur more filter.

Awesome color job, and really interesting bio-workup. What all creatures share these qualities? Squids and octopuses and those guys can do the pigment thing, but are there creatures of Earth who can bioluminesce at will like this tentacled beastie here?

I doubt that you'd still have such a high opinion when Eujeel is trying to fit your head into its capacious mouth.
