Description Ptomacanthus anglicus is a primitive fish from the Early Devonian of England.

P. anglicus was originally described as an acanthodian, or "spiny shark." Later, an extensive examination of its skull lead some researchers to declare it either a true shark, or a sister-taxon intermediate between true sharks and acanthodians.

I already said when and where it lived: its skull suggests it may have been about 2 feet long when it was alive.
