Reconstruction of the pycnodontid Tepexichthys aranguthyorum, from the middle to late Albian of what is now the Tlayua quarries near Tepexi de Rodriquez, Puebla, Mexico.T. aranguthyorum lived near algae-encrusted lagoons near the shore of a huge barrier reef in what was once the Western Tethys Ocean.
