I totally forgot about this one! It's been almost a year ago when I painted this and have forgotten about it ever since. I do like it though, so here it is
You can clearly see the difference between the quality of this scan and the one of Ludwig the lynx I uploaded before. I want my old program back :C Anyway, these three kind animals were fun to paint, I love them very much (first time drawing/painting a mole, haha, they're rather cute). Not much else to say, enjoy! Its a good read, there have been a few films of it too ranging from live action to animation. It was when I saw the badger and mole I thought that was where you had seen it.

It's a fox with red panda markings, my shapeshifter character Akiko to be exact (who is a novice shifter so she can't change some parts of herself yet, her normal form is a red panda, so the other forms often have red panda elements too, hence the markings here).

I just adore using watercolours! I don't think they're tricky to use. But I don't use too many effects, on the other hand... Yes, salt can create interesting textures, but I haven't found the right salt, yet. I've thrown grains into the paints that were far too big.
