Slight HoH spoilers!
Basically another "How I want it to end" pic.
Years and YEARs in the future!
Leo gets Calypso from the island. And doesn’t die in the process. And they grow old together running their Farmer’s Market/Garage.
Happy days. The end.
Also… as Leo was starting to rock the "Tarzan look" I like to think he keeps doing so as he grows older.

I was really dubious of these two, but they seem to work okay. I just love that Riordan subverted the usual "Arrival to Ogygia" trope by making her annoyed with him.
(Guilty confession, I ship Leo with Echo. A really good piece from HecateA converted me. She put it as (Entering a fandom with no art and a few fafics. You've elected your torment".)

TBH I was too, but I liked how Rick handled them. It was kind of predictable, but still very cute. (I also liked the idea of Leo and Echo, but I also liked the one-sidedness of it all XD)

Echo is one of the most tragic figures I can think of. She got screwed over by the gods and pines after a dude who won't give her a first glance. It's tragic to me because, unlike other tragic figures, she is well aware of what she's doing. (I'm half-hoping to see her again. She's one of those characters that I feel has so much potential, and I want to see it realized.)

I have not read it! But then, I have very little interest in reading PJO fanfics generally.
I agree, I loved echo and leo and that whole triangle. Subtle and bittersweet, just the way I like it.

Check out her fanfic "Memorable". It's really good, if a bit corny. She's one of the better PJO writers, and was on my list of recommended author for that anon you referred to me.

does anyone have any ideas about how calypso would umm..age? maybe she could just change her appearance seeing as the olympians can appear as pretty much whatever age or creature they want to be. Or maybe she could become mortal somehow o.O hmm she's lived so long, i feel like she'd be ok with giving up immortality once she actually found her loveee

I agree, I think she wouldn't have much of a problem giving up her immortality. Maybe after Percy saves the world again, he'll demand that Calypso get the ability to decide this to compensate for them ignoring his request to free her before, and to make up for not thinking of her again.
