My older Fishlegs. Stoick-esque short-braid. Beard. ARM HAIR. RAR.
He's sitting in the dark Mead Hall at some ungodly hour of the morning, going over charts he created of dragon attack patterns with only a single candle for light. He is stressed. This is the sight that greets Astrid.
Candle light is fun light.
This was just a header for a chapter, but I thought I'd put up a more detailed version of it, since we only get the itty-bitty thing in literature.
I am pleased with how he came out.

You're welcome and no problem. XD He's one of the three suitors from the movie "Brave." Young MacGuffin speaks in the unintelligible Scottish dialect, and has blonde hair.

The original character design included the beginnings of a beard, in contrast to his current clean-shaven look. *shrugs* Which is why I thought that they looked similar.

Awww....I guess this sense of complete defenselessness and helplessness....he's big, but he's a total softie 
I also get kind of a "fat college nerd" kind of impression, which goes very well with Fishlegs
Liked the head hair; nothing particular, but I just liked the way you did it. Detailed, but without having to draw every single individual strand.

Haha! College nerd?! I suppose that would be him! Though I'm not too sure how many jokes he would crack. He seems like the type to start a joke, but then go off on a tangent of facts (like Nemo's dad

Roflmao, that I would agree with: he's definitely one of those guys who "thinks" he's funny, but he just embarrasses himself. Or maybe among his fellow nerds, he's funny - joking about stuff only they would get, but everybody else is like "0_o".
Nevertheless, I like however that's he's toughening up - maybe not in an aggressive kind of way, like Astrid, that goes on the offensive and bullies/commands people, but in a defensive way -- in other words, he's not willing to take crap from people anymore: Don't mess with him, and he won't mess with you.
He's just like Hiccup: He's still a nice guy and all, but he doesn't put up with people's garbage anymore.
