Description From the piled rocks of the shoreline, Hiccup swiveled over his shoulder and smiled. His ponytail flipped in the winds of a prevailing storm, the wild strands that escaped passed his eyes like a flapping curtain to a window. He placed his hands on his hips, careful to balance himself correctly on the slippery footing. An extra challenging task due to him hitting a second growth spurt that left him with long limbs he still hadn't quite mastered.

I got drunk, and I added a little scene to the end of my latest chapter that involved aesthetic fan-service and implied spanking.

Never again. Never again.

He's seventeen. He's much more confident. He's got his new rags and his hair's up. That's a scar on his neck not good at scars yet, from Changewing acid.

I firmly believe that we need more Ponytail!Hiccup. I love it too much, I need support here peoples
His hair is super wavy because of the storm...he does not perm.

But...most importantly...I DID A BACKGROUND AND OMFG@*U@*#U$@ OCEAN SPRAY! OCEAN SPRAY!

Thanks for putting the scars in there, as well. It shows Hiccup and Toothless have been living in the wild and their wits. And it is one more sign in this image that Hiccup is someone to respect if you cross him. He may not be the tall burly Berk Viking, but he's done a lot of traveling, he knows his battle skills, and you don't want to mess with him or his dragon.. but he still also has intelligent and knowledge seeking/justice seeking guys. So, altogether this is a man of hardship and action, but a thinking warrior - and one with compassion.

No problem! Not only did it give me more practice with scarring, but I completely agreed with you. I didn't really get down his image the first time (Ha, it was more posing), and I think part of it was that I wasn't used to drawing dirty rugged men. So thank you for inspiring me to do so

You did great! The scars are real and do make him look like he has been on a long journey and active life. I wish I could get the stubble down like you do. It is funny the diverse range of opinions regarding Hiccup's hair and his facial hair.

I cheat with a special paint and paintbrush setting, though it did take some experimenting.

Oh,yes. This is much more realistic. I like the beard stubble- that does show guy who has been on the road. And the darker, more wind roughened skin is good, too. It makes him look more road weary _but also very used to it and liking the freedom of the road.

And you should, lol! Hiccup and Toothless are so very cool in your Hitchups world. They've gone through a lot, and they deserve to show they are the tough warriors - they have good hearts but they still have earned their toughness and fighting skills.

Thanks for listening to my stupid ideas. I love how your Hiccup and Toothless are tough but loving and noble bros through and through! And I love that you're not afraid to show they've picked up some scars and hard travel grit and grime in their quest.

the extra scars are a nice tough, but personally, I perfer a more clean shaven Hiccup... I would have thought Toothless would be more on top of that since he doesn't like beards.

Thanks for being open minded on it. It is the reality. Clean shaven guys back then only could afford to shave once or twice a week. Shaving back then was a lot more difficult than it is today since they had to use sharp knife blades and those creepy razor blades a la Sweeny Todd. Unless they had access to a personal slave barber every day, they could not afford to be totally clean shaven. In the wilderness Hiccup does what he can- he washes in the rivers, keeps his hair hacked short enough for Toothless but long enough for the ponytail, but it's hard to shave your face everyday when you do not have a mirror. Still he keeps himself very well groomed for the time- so kudos to him for being spiffy in spite of living wild on the road and having to shave without a mirror. He does not grow a beard, but it's a struggle to keep himself as clean shaven as he can be- stubble will happen from time to time.

Hiccup is a little fem, but that might have something to do with the bangs? The bangs are very feminine; i imagined him having it slicked back more than anything, kind of Fabio style if he wore his luscious locks in a ponytail. Or Steven Seagal.

LOOL Hiccup and Steven Seagal should not be mentioned in the same sentence!

And drunk writing is the best writing. I once wrote a 5 chapter story while wasted as an experiment. It turned out....well, I got a lot of reviews on it anyway.
