Description A portrait done for my Advanced Painting class. The assignment: have 2 people each give you an image and then combine them into one painting done in the style of a post modern artist.

My images: an orange and a photo of a friend

Total hours: updward of 18

Also the image has been used in promotional images for Mercer University, including a billboard.

Wow, I like how this painting plays with my eye. I like the abstractions you did within the divisions, not to mention that you weren't afraid to tackle Close's later, more complex style. What are the dimensions?

I believe it is 24"x36". I don't currently have the piece with me so I'm not sure. The style was easy after I figured out how it worked, but it was very time consuming. If I had all the time in the world I'd re-do it.
