Description "Love is brightest in the dark" - Katara

I hope you like! I usually spend a few hours on my art, but for once I actually took my time!! It took me about 10 days, on Photoshop CS2. I got inspiration from the character Lulu from Final Fantasy (if I'm not mistaken). +- 30 layers

I decided to change it a lot and turn it into an Avatar: the Last Airbender fanart. I like to look at it as Katara when she's all grown up and the Southern Water Tribe has been rebuilt, and she is the master water bender of her tribe..... <3

You should really make her darker.You can reference off of a light-skin character without making Katara light as well :/

wow this is amazing Her outfit *u* And the colouring is really good too Though Katara as a dark skin tone whereas this image as her as being far too pale, it might be something to keep in mind

This work is racist because her skin has been ridiculously lightened and her facial features have been Eurocentrified. It seems that her hair texture was changed as well.

This person is taking reference from a lighter person, therefore not really racist, they're combining two characters. also since when did art become racist?
Art is something you do to express yourself if i made Katara PURPLE would it be racist? honestly, you're rediculous.

This is a photo-manipulation (or in this case, artwork manipulation) not a digital painting and airbrushing. So proper credits need to be given to Squaresoft artists. (You should re-categorize to avoid confusion.)

Nice idea, though. But I guess I'd see Lulu more like a Mai character. Attitude and all.
