Jumping on the bandwagon

~tribute27 and I noticed the the Vocaloid fanart that pops up on the front page every few days and wondered what made this character so appealing.

After a bit of thinking, I realized that Hatsune Miku and Sailor Moon share a few key design traits: trademark long pigtails, modified school uniform outfit, and a saturated, eye-popping color scheme. In other words, incredibly tacky but incredibly fun to draw. Evidenced by the fact that this was only meant to be a quick sketch, a speedpaint at most, but then it turned into an almost non-stop hours long project. I'm glad though, because I learned a lot of new coloring techniques.
