Okay, lets see what I can do here. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
First of all, I want to say that the colors that you picked out for the background are wonderful! I have a hard time getting that color for my own dark background I highly commend you on that! Also, the detail in the wings really caught my attention the most! I kinda want to feel their texture! The pose is great, and I love the look on his/her(sorry for the gender confusion)face.
The main problem that really bothers me in this picture is the lighting (or lack of one). I do not know if this is because my own computer monitor is dark (I put the brightness level on its highest and it is still hard to see). I had to move my face closely to the monitor to see the detail. A little bit of lighting in the background (from moonlight or whatever), would give it a lot more impact. Nothing too stark bright, but something that would just help give the image more light.
I did, however, notice that the highlights on the claws and the sheen in the wings really stand out. The rock is also more lightly colored than the creature himself/herself. Some lighter fur hightlights on the creature's face, front legs, and left wing would help him/her stand out a lot more! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> The nose should also have some highlights on it. After all, he/she is the subject of the image! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Wink)"/>
As far as anatomy is concerned, the front legs seem too long. I would shorten them just a bit. Of course, if this is a part of the creature's anatomy, please disregard that comment. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> The ears on his/her kinda bother me too, but I think that is because they are too far on top of the head. Looking at a wolf picture that I have in my room, the ears are supposed to be a little lower, but not too much lower. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
All and all, I think this is a very nice image. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> My biggest concern is the lighting, but that can easily be taken care of with practice. Your color choices are great and you seem to be doing very well with textures! I hope I helped somewhat. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> Good luck with future images!
