DAY 143

As sports movies were getting more and more... ridiculous and cliche in the 90s, Disney gave us a series of films that were possibly the strangest of all of them. These are the Air Bud movies, which are about a golden retriever that can play in major sports. The first film has him play basketball, Golden Receiver is football, World Pup is soccer, Seventh Inning Fetch is baseball and Spikes Back is volleyball. Even though I'm a dog lover and have a golden retriever, this sort of scenario was only worth just one film. That's the only one I've seen and , yeah, that's the best of the 5. It was evenly funny, sports-y and all that other stuff. The other ones I'm guessing repeat themselves but up the laughs higher. Doesn't seem like a good direction. The first one is fine enough though, but soon after the final installment, there'd be a new generation, but just you wait.
