In FF7 all characters looks a liitle bit like bottles, but in the scenes they looks like anime figures.
In Last Order Sephiroth looks amazing.

well, I don't like the sephirothi n AC. Not that he's old, is just he looks way too feminine. I have not yet seen Last Order yet, but his look in Crisis Core looks good.

agree XD portrait drawings are nice but in order for them to show a really good expression you need to spend hours and hours on them u.u where as a chibi it is really easy XD and fun! :3

n.nu... well I can only do a 'decent' job when I have the picture of the person beside me... then if it looks ok I start making some chages in the picture (like the hair style, I sometimes put some small tattoos below the eye

I can understand dat...I started using a lot of reference pictures when I first start drawing human beings...and it is just the same for me..I cannot make great big changes or do something creative like creating an entirely new person out of the thin air...
It also took me ages to finish the face (without the hair) !! *we seem to have the same problems* I had to redraw and redraw certain parts just to make sure the thing work!! ARGH!

hahaha yeah so it seems XD, *sigh* but yeah it can get very frustrating sometimes -__- and the worst part, in my case, is that if I start doing something I cannot stop drawing until I finished or until I am really close to it, because if I do, the next time I go back to it I just mess it all up T.T no idea why ...

OMG!! really? oO well I just finished a very big painting, although I don't thing it is as big as yours n.nu...(even though I don't know how tall are you, but I believe that mine is still smaller n.nu) and man it took me around 2 weeks! and I had to work 5 hours each day aprox, but my test and exams always got in my way and it mad eit all even harder T.T!!! And I agree with you about the tests, exams and essays they are just a huge bother!
