Number four on my countdown to X and Y top ten favorite Pokemon is:

Togepi

How could I not love this cutie! It was so popular back when I was younger that it was probably close to becoming a second franchise mascot with Pikachu.

I fell in love with Togepi back when it first appeared in the anime. My niece had a lifesized plush Togepi that my mom had bought for her back before I was into Pokemon. She loved that thing and was heartbroken when her mom took it and sold it at a garage sale without her permission. By that time, I was into Pokemon and would have been willing to buy it off of them, but it had gotten kind of icky and if I had purchased it, I would have just given it back to my niece as a gift again. I so wanted one for myself, though, but it had been years since she purchased the plush. Somehow, though, by pure chance I managed to find one and snatched it right up! My adorable life-sized Togepi plush is among my favorites in my collection and I have since added a Togekiss companion (much smaller in comparison, I might add!) but I would love a Togetic or even a smaller Togepi to go along with them.

Overall, Togepi is just freaking adorable! I just never realized how much I loved it. Initially, Togepi was number 8 on my list, but I moved it up four spaces when I looked at the plush and realized how much the Pokemon meant to me, based on my past, becoming one of two Pokemon to push Buizel down to fifth place. Sorry, Buizel! You're still in the top five, though!
