So ive been a bit inactive but thats because I've been low-key swamped with Uni work. However, I am still producing stuff, just havent had the chance to post it yet.Im currently working on trying to make a new story line that takes place in my monster universe, but it follows the adventures of a human (i bet you thought I didn't have any human ocs but you are wrong.)
I'll tell you a bit about my lovely new babe, Dalia Ramos. She is about 21 years old, just got out of college with an English degree. She currently lives in NYC in a crappy apartment with a leaky ceiling and a cat infestation (Dalia started feeding one black cat stray when she moved to the city, now the same one and dozens more visit her apartment on a daily or weekly basis.) She originally moved out to NYC at 18 to get away from her home and everything about it. Basically, when she was younger, she was really interested in the supernatural, especially demon stuff which was a big no no since her family was strictly religious and so was the small town she lived in, so she kept it a secret. That is, until one day in high school, someone got a hold of her personal journal and they started spreading rumors about how she was really a witch trying to summon demons that would take over the school. Before this she was already slight bullied as she didn't really fit in, but then she started getting beaten both at school and at home to "set her straight." Her parents pretty much did everything they could to cleanse their little girl and almost went as far as putting Dalia through an exorcism to banish the holds the demons had on her. However, before they could, she graduated and left. She thought she left that all behind, but didn't realize that the rumors were starting to spread beyond her little town. Whenever visitors came to the small town, since it was often a pit stop on the freeway, people would warn them about the young witch that lived there who was trying to summon demons that would destroy the world. The rumors kept spreading and warping but the one thing that remained the same was her name...which so happened to be the very same name of an ancient witch who was known to help monsters all over until she mysteriously disappeared. Monsters were joyous when they heard that the famous Dalia was back and willing to help all who came to her. Meanwhile back in NYC, the very normal and human Dalia was starting to experience strange occurances, like things moving around at night and seeing things in the dark. However, because of the trauma she experienced back in high school, she tried to force any thoughts of the supernatural away and left it to just be her imagination but she was very wrong. In all reality it was trapped souls begging for help, and other things that humans always can't see but things would soon be very very real.
Yeah thats about it. There will be another main character for this story line who will be a monster, probably a demon/oni. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them. Also, I don't really know where to take this plot wise but kinda imagine it playing out like a show where she does start helping these supernatural beings but in her own creative normie way...so if you got a monster that needs help hit me up and we can talk.

omg I love this! The expressions are really well done and her story is sad but awesome
poor thing, she should find one of those fake ads of "glasses that help you see the dead" and then she tries it and it works and she freaks out. that'd be hilarious

Well good cause there will be more here soon!! Thank you, I've been trying to get more expressions out of my characters and I had a great time making her story. She kinda came out when my BF and I were talking about how funny it would be for me to have a character that is mistake for a monster, then it became a joke about how she is a just a normie who just so happens to be in the right place at the right time for some spoopy shit to happen.
OMG I love that idea. I imagine it happens like during college when she and her friends are hanging out one night and getting drunk. One of them pulls them out saying how they bought them just to see how bad of a rip off they would be. They get passed around and everyone talks about how the dead looks like just stupid bed sheet ghost stickered onto the lenses. Finally they get to Dalia and she puts them on and is immediately face to face with a ghoulish face that looks like its screaming. She freaks out and looks around to see more ghosts floating all around them and panics even more. One of her friends take them again and looks to see bed sheet ghosts again. Dalia takes them back and sees the same as her friend and just thinks that she has had way too much to drink.

she needs that eccentric best friend who's cool with everything and helps out and listens to whatever crazy story she has to tell

I actually already have an eccentric BFF character and a few others from a short story I started to write for my creative writing class last year. Their names are Jackie, Kala, and Hiran all of which live in the same apartment building as Dalia.
Jackie is gonna be Dalia's only friend from highschool who stuck by her through everything. She is trans black woman, however, she didn't come out till she was in college and was basically disowned by her family like Dalia was after she left as well. They went to different colleges, but Jackie decided to move out to NYC after she graduated to be with Dalia again. She is somewhat like a stereotypical cheerleader, very eccentric, preppy, low-key a mean girl if you piss her off, but she is probably one of the sweetest people at the same time. Totally has believed in supernatural shit for a really really long time and grew fansinated with it because of Dalia back in high school and totally knew shit was going on long before Dalia could ever accept it. They don't technically live together, but Jackie spends more time at Dalia's apartment more then her own so they might as well be.
Kala and Hiran are both Indian and they are brother and sister. To top it off they are both supernatural beings. Hiran is a ghost while Kala is a jhinjhar, which basically a heroic headless horsemen who died in a violent way to protect innocents. They were once royality, but when invader tried to attack their land, both took up arms instead of hiding. Both died on the battlefield, but Kala suffered a more horrendous death as her head was cut off while she was trying to defend some children and get them to safety. However, when her head rolled, her body kept fighting. She came to long after the battle, head sitting in her own lap with her brothers ghost on his knees praying for her to come back to him. Ever since then, Kala and Hiran wandered the Earth together, however, Kala was overcome with depression and fear of her herself and what the world may think of her. They live, two floors up from Dalia and Hiran is one of the ghosts trying to contact her to help his sister. At some point Kala and Jackie start dating and its really cute.
There is one more character who is kinda the endgame to the story line and his name is Khenbish however some know him by another name. He is a Mongolian Demon who was once human but made a demon by the gods because of a horrendous act that he committed against his family the day after evil was supposed to be cleansed from the land through a celebratory dance known as a tsam. No one knows what it was that sealed his fate because he never speaks about it, however, his name was recorded in demonology books as Khunbish which means "no longer human." Its been many thousands of years since he has seen his homeland because nearly a year after he was made a demon, the tsam was performed again and he nearly died but he managed to flee in time. Khenbish fled to the mountains and has been hiding away from humanity, and if anyone dared to come up they would disappear. There was only ever one exception, a human that told him about the long lost witch, Dalia. It took about six years but he eventually tracked her down to a rinky dink apartment in NYC. He demanded that she helped him, manipulating his appearance to be human. Khenbish followed her the whole day still demanding until she snapped at him, telling him to fuck off cause she thought he was some guy that someone from high school paid to make a fool out of her again (its happened to many times before). She stormed off and he was about to not follow as he watched her go down an alleyway, when suddenly he heard her scream. Someone was holding Dalia to the alley wall with a gun to her head, threatening to kill her if she didn't give him everything of value. Khenbish came to her rescue, revealing his demon form which both freaks out her and the mugger, and he kinda goes on a rant about how could he dare hurt and threaten one of the greatest witches of all time. When he is about to kill the mugger when Dalia grabs his arm to hold him back, demanding for him to let the man go, and reluctantly he does. Dalia lets go and takes many many steps back, still extremely freaked out cause its a demon, a real fucking demon! And yeah, idk how they get from this to being kinda friends and she is helping him become human again but I imagine its a lot of arguing back and forth about if she owes him a life debt or not since he saved her once.
I think there will also be maybe a werewolf and a selkie as well, maybe a few more humans, and of course my other monsters will make little cameos....and I am sorry for work vommiting everywhere.

I have a human steampunk girl who loves to cosplay and be silly who would probably love to be friends with Dalia because she seems to never have a dull moment
she's Romanian and moved to the states when her dad remarried and she got citizenship, but she moved away from home because they didn't like her lifestyle.
She has quite a nice place and makes a lot of money with cosplaying, and when she's home she's either playing games or working on her cosplay and I imagine she'd love to listen to Dalia's stories as she's working on her stuff

Oh yes I would love more friends for Dalia. She is totally the person is all like "I hate people" but she is actually fairly extroverted and has a buch of friends.

Romania is such a superstitious country and so many people believe in the paranormal that my girl would probably share a lot of "old fashioned ways to get rid of paranormal stuff" like throwing salt over your left shoulder and stuff.
and it will probably be refreshing for Dalia to not have someone know about her false reputation back home
