I suppose you're right, but it makes me think of a deleted scene from the first Austin Powers movie. It came right after the scene where a steamroller runs over a henchmen who had ample time to escape. The deleted scene was of a group of friends who are waiting for the flattened at a restaurant and another friend shows up and breaks the news of their fallen friend.
