Mr. Wagner (known to players as "the Dutchman" or "Hans") is the one who is on the rarest of all original baseball cards.  The series his picture appeared in was put out not by a bubble gum company but by a cigarette firm.  Wagner disliked smoking, and requested that his picture be taken out of the series.  As a result only a handful of his cards were ever sold.  Now these go for thousands of dollars.  He also appears to be the only player who ever put Ty Cobb in his place.  Cobb, known for spiking basemen when headed "feet first" towards them cracked that he looked forward to doing this to Wagner.  When Wagner, a big brawny fellow, heard this, he said that if Cobb tried that Wagner would have his arm ready to punch him in the face.  Cobb didn't try it.
