One thing that struck me about the battle with Sans is that you can really tell he's using every trick at his disposal just to stop you. Sans really makes an impression before, during and after the fight; his determination and desperation was communicated using the gameplay and the battle mechanics to great effect. Even though he'd previously established himself as a laid-back and funny character in most of his appearances, the ferocity and cunning he shows in his boss fight is jaw-dropping. And even in a fight to the death, he never loses his sense of humour. Sans is a lot of people's favourite character, and I can see why.tumblr version
